Strip Steve here later this year.

French wunderkind Strip Steve (myspace) is coming to AUS, according to streetparty.tv. Continuing the theme of bringing out superstar producers and slotting them in on a Friday night at Fashion Keys (ie. Danger), word on the street is that le party will be hosting Monsieur Steve in October of this year. This is awesome news, even if you hate the ’streetparty scene’ and for some strange reason don’t want your photo to appear amongst hundreds of other clones the next day.

Skip school.

I love Strip Steve (myspace) and adore everything Boys Noize Records puts out — yet somehow I missed this. This kid from Bordeaux put out a way cool rework of an old Weezer song some time last year, then some of his remix stuff showed up, and now he’s back doing his own productions which sound like Daft Punk meets more nuschool French cuts. The Skip School EP combines all of Strip Steve’s original stuff and is essential for any vinyl collection.
